42' Fish Belly Flat Car
Prototype Information
The 42′ fishbelly flat car is a railroad freight car that originated from a design created by the United States Railroad Administration (USRA) during World War I. The USRA designed many types of cars, including a flat car, but only built some of them. After the war, railroads began to replace older equipment and adapt the USRA design to meet their needs.
