Description

Railroad Short Name: CNW

Chicago & North Western (CNW) “Delivery 1969 Brown” is our first example from this release using another newly-tooled body. The C&NW’s Greenville order for 10 cars was delivered in October of 1969. Notice the combination of End-Of-Car Cushioning (EOCC), drop-style grab irons on the corners of the sides and the raised jacking tabs on the sill near the steps. Modelers always ask: Why didn’t you run C&NW yet? Here is the answer. We wanted to execute the model with the correct body! These beautiful C&NW models feature 100-Ton “Low Profile” Barber S-2-A trucks with accurate rotating Hyatt roller bearing caps. If you look closely, you will notice the “WSP” and “Return to DT&I Fordhaven, Mich” on the car side.
